How we engage

Pick the level of commitment. Change it when the business changes.

Every engagement covers the same ground, Operate, Secure, and Innovate. What changes is how many hours you get and how much of the function we own.

Virtual

Advisory · 1 to 4 hours a week

An experienced technology executive on call for the CEO and leadership team.

  • Monthly roadmap and spend review
  • Second opinion on vendors, contracts, and proposals
  • Board and investor meeting prep
  • Escalation point for your IT lead or provider

Best for: a capable IT lead or provider already runs day-to-day work.

Interim

Full-time, fixed term

Fills the seat full-time while you recruit the permanent leader.

  • Stabilizes the team in the first weeks
  • Keeps in-flight projects and renewals on track
  • Writes the role profile and helps interview candidates
  • Hands off to the new hire with a written transition plan

Best for: your CIO or CTO just left, or a merger or major project needs full-time leadership now.

How an engagement runs

Step 1

Assess

Interviews with leadership and staff, a review of systems, spend, contracts, and security posture. You get a written findings report.
Step 2

Roadmap

A prioritized plan tied to cost, headcount, and risk. Each item has an owner, a budget, and a date.
Step 3

Lead

We run the plan, report progress to leadership on a fixed schedule, and adjust the level of commitment as needed.

Moving between levels

Fractional → Virtual

Once the roadmap is running and a strong internal lead is in place, step down to advisory hours.

Virtual → Fractional

When a security review, platform decision, or AI rollout needs someone who owns it, step up.

Interim → Fractional

After the permanent hire starts, stay on part-time to support the handoff if you want continuity.
